Prior to founding CTBH Partners LLC in 2013, John spent six years in the merchant banking group of White Mountains Insurance Group (NYSE: WTM) where he led strategic investment and financial projects for a $5 billion global (re)insurance holding company.

Previously, John was a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and Strategist for West End Capital Management, where he directly managed global portfolios of fixed income securities and interest rate derivatives for a ~$1 billion hedge fund sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway.

John is a CFA charterholder and earned an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA in Business Management from Saint John’s University (MN).

John is an avid alpine skier and resides in Hanover, NH with his wife and four children.
